Asad Q
Backend
Backend-focused software developer specializing in building data ingestion pipelines and microservices with Go, Python, and PostgreSQL. Focused on clean system architecture, database design, and reliable infrastructure. My core stack includes Go, Python, PostgreSQL/SQLite, Docker, and Linux, complemented by experience with REST APIs and cloud tools. Most of my time is spent building practical systems—like threat intelligence pipelines and analytics engines—while continuously expanding my background in system design and backend architecture.
// projects
A Go-based backend pipeline that ingests live CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) data, normalizes and weights it by category, and scores each threat on a 0–100 index using an exponential sigmoid model — backed by PostgreSQL for persistence and fast lookups.
A Python sabermetrics framework built on pybaseball and Pandas that parses pitch-by-pitch Statcast data to derive a custom offensive-potential rating, weighting underlying process metrics (contact quality, plate discipline) against traditional outcome stats.
